Abstract

A set of techniques based on qualitative analysis has been used with good results to analyze the functioning of a domain from an ethnographic perspective. The most recent evolution of the methodology is based on a technique called cognitive work analysis, which incorporates a set of techniques that are derived from qualitative research methods, which in turn are based on the theoretical paradigm of symbolic interaction.
