How This Book Is Organized

This book is organized in such a way that you can read it either in parts or as a whole. If you’re particularly interested in a specific area—say, the nitty-gritty of setting up a business in India—you’ll find it all in one part (Part I). If you’re aware of the basic requirements, but you need to know how to conduct yourself and your business in the most efficient way, you can find that information in a different part (Part IV), and so on.

Part I: Brushing Up on India Business Basics

In this part, I cover the past and current foundations of business in India. I include information about the ways that India has been doing business with the world for centuries. Then I focus on India’s lively business climate today, and how the people and the land itself contribute to the growing economy. Also featured is information on the important ways that India has changed in recent years and how those changes basically equate to a big, wide-open door for foreign businesses and investment to enter the country.

Part II: Getting Your Business Up and Running

In the second part of the book, I take you through the various processes that you need to understand when getting your business started. I talk about the various business entities you can choose from and the basic rules that govern each.
