SPRINGER SPANIEL PUPPY
Step One I begin by transferring the basic outline of the pup using an HB pencil and transfer paper. I trace only the most basic outlines to ensure that the proportions are accurate and every feature is positioned as it is in the reference photo. Then I refine the outlines to suggest the pup’s hair, erasing the transferred lines as necessary. Using short, tapering strokes, I indicate the direction of hair growth across the figure.
