Drum Brake Upgrades

If you have drums, there are still a few changes you can make to get more performance. While drum brakes may fade faster and behave in more of an on/off fashion than disc brakes, there are steps that you can take to minimize both of these. Since the front brakes handle the lion’s share of the braking effort, a car with discs up front and drums in the back can still have decent stopping ability.

Just like with brake pads on discs, it is possible to upgrade the brake shoes, with much the same benefits.
