Tires and Brakes

Just like a car cannot corner with more grip than what its tires make available, the tires are the biggest limit to your braking system. If you try to stop with more force than your tires can put to the pavement, either your brakes will lock up and the car will skid, or the antilock brake system (ABS) will kick in and try to keep you from stopping any harder. The only cure is to install a set of stickier tires.
