ABS Controls

The antilock braking system is designed to back off the brakes when they are applied hard enough to lock up. This can help the driver maintain control under hard braking. Usually, there is not much that a tuner can do with an ABS controller. Some early ABS systems can hurt performance enough that it might be desirable to remove it for an all-out race car, but on a street car, it is usually best to leave the ABS system in place and working.
