Brake Lines
The brake lines contain solid metal tubing or hard lines to carry brake fluid around the body of the car and flexible lines to carry brake fluid from the hard lines to the brakes at each wheel. There is not much you can do to improve the hard lines’ performance unless yours have started leaking, although some shops offer stainless steel replacement lines to better survive rust. You can make replacement brake lines at home with a double flaring tool, although you’ll want to practice with it a bit on a few sections of line before making anything you’ll put on the car. If making a replacement brake line, be sure to copy the loops and coils, which are there to help the brake lines survive vibration.
