Alignment

Wheel alignment is an important part of suspension tuning. Although it is possible to align your wheels at home with the right equipment, this is a task that is usually best left to a good alignment shop. A car should be aligned any time you change the ride height or replace any suspension part that cannot be replaced without disturbing the alignment. There are several settings that can be adjusted, but the most common are toe, camber, and caster. Some cars have more possible adjustments, such as ride height, while on other cars, it may not be possible to adjust camber or caster. Toe is always adjustable, at least on the front wheels.
