Magazines provide coverage of everything from race results, to feature cars, to individual mods. The more in-depth articles about individual mods may include an illustrated explanation of how to install them and a description of how the writers tested the parts. The test results are often quite informative, particularly if the magazine has been testing several competing parts against each other. Often the parts tested will have been donated by aftermarket manufacturers and advertisers in the hopes of getting a magazine to showcase their work.
