CHAPTER 3Building the Deck

Finally, the time has come to build the plane. But first you need to build what is called the deck, which takes the most time and holds/protects all the finicky electronics. The deck is the soul of the Flack because the deck lives many lives via airframe replacement. Make it well, and make it strong. Read this entire chapter before starting. Have all your parts on hand. It should take a few afternoons. What needs to be done accurately will be made clear, and there is not much of that. Relax, enjoy the build, and worry not—you can always start over. As an aside, spend some time with a flight simulator to get the basics of flying under your belt if at all possible.
