Chapter 13. Committing, Freezing, Moving Forward
Every sensor is unique. There is no generic imaging sensor, universal CCD, standard temperature probe, or universal particle counter. You can no more swap out one brand of light sensor for a different make and model, than you could swap out a 100 Ohm 5% tolerant resistor for a 120 Ohm 10% tolerant resistor and expect your circuit to perform exactly as it did before without modification.
In practical terms, this means you should do a lot of initial shopping and testing. Then, once you’ve prototyped your sensor design and made your decision on what to fly, you lock yourself in to that particular manufacturer, make, and model.
