Formatting body text

There’s really no such thing as body text when you’re formatting DITA topics. Content in the body of a topic might be in a paragraph, a note, a code sample, or some other element, each of which can have its own format.

Some attribute sets let you apply formatting broadly. Examples include body, body__toplevel, body__secondLevel, conbody, and refbody. You might find these sets are too broad, but give them a chance and see if using one can save effort. A handy thing to do is to assign a noticeable color, such as red, to one of these attribute sets, then test to see exactly what the set affects.
