Create multiple bullet formats for unordered lists

Create additional bullet schemes for additional levels of unordered list, such as for second- or third-level list items.

According to our spec, we will use the right angle bracket (>) for top-level bulleted list items and the em-dash (—) for nested bulleted list items.

  1. Open en.xml and find the Unordered List bullet variable:
    <variable id="Unordered List bullet">&#x2022;</variable>

    &#x2022; is the Unicode bullet character.

  2. Change the character to &#x003E;.

    This is the Unicode right angle bracket. You could just type > directly, but to be on the safe side and make sure you always get the character you intend, it’s best to use the Unicode.
