Solar Park Vechelde (Kraftfeld Vechelde GmbH & Co. KG)

Individuals with innovative ideas and a spirit of implementation can move the world forward. One of them is pioneer Frank Ziegeler who converted an old sugar factory into a solar park for a sustainable future power supply. The heart of the project is a ground-mounted solar power system with 1.6 megawatts, one of the largest in South-East Lower Saxony. In on-going construction, up to 5,500 solar modules will be built in the future to fulfill the annual electricity needs of the towns of Wierthe and Sonnenberg.
