Providing distinctive interactivity within experiences

Experiences are made up of many variables, but one pivotal feature that gives life, depth, and added meaning to your web pages is interactivity. By making solid decisions and using code effectively, you can provide your visitors, in equal measure, with an enriched experience that sustains their need to explore and find the content they require.

In this chapter, I explore the root components of interactivity. I cover the types of devices that enable you to input with and output to users as well as the interactions that humans and computers encounter. I also explore the benefits and issues that are associated with user choice, along with the languages and code involved in interactivity. Later, I discuss the tools and methods used to build an interactive design. Finally, I underline the principles involved in responsive design theory that are playing an increasingly critical role in how designers build experiences.
