9. Anatomy of a Blog Page
The earliest blog pages were simple. Barely formatted entries were presented in reverse chronological order and may or may not have included a date stamp. Over time, blogs have evolved to reflect the complexities of their authors, incorporating any number of page elements, some of them downright mysterious to newcomers. Today, a typical blog entry generally includes a headline; date and time stamps; the author’s name if it’s a group blog; links to reader comments; a permalink; and a trackback URL. Photos, video, and audio elements are common, as well.
