WHY A LESSON AND AN AUDIENCE THEME?
In our boot camps and workshops, I’m often asked why it is important to find both a personal lesson and theme for the audience. Think of them this way:
The Lesson is what you took away from the experience. It often begins with “What I learned …” or “What I discovered …” or “What I took away from that experience. …”
The Audience Theme is how that lesson applies to a particular audience. The audience theme may change depending, upon who is out there listening. The question you are answering is, “How does this relate ...
