THE FINISHING TOUCHES

 

 

With your picture lock edit and mixed soundtrack in hand, you are ready to take the film across the finish line. The biggest creative decisions are now behind you, and many of the coming tasks are purely practical. There are however one or two significant areas where a director can still make more aesthetic and interpretive contributions to the film. Finishing your film includes:

  • Color correction.
  • Adding titles and credits.
  • Mastering the final program.
  • Duplication for multi-format distribution.
  • Promotion and distribution.
