Avoid the “I’ll Just Fix It Later” Approach

The technology we have these days is amazing, and the types of editing that can be done in programs like Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop are pretty cool. However, sometimes photographers rely on these powerhouse programs too heavily.

remember.eps As you shoot a wedding, I urge you not to think “I’ll fix it later” instead of trying to make each photo great the first time around, straight out of the camera. Not only will having great images to start off with make your postproduction process move a lot faster, but the overall quality of your images will be better in the end, as well. (See Chapters 11 and 13 for more on using editing programs.)
