Digital video recorders (DVRs) are—fairly rapidly—taking over most of North American television.

In a handful of words, DVRs are taking over TV in the United States and Canada, because they present such a vast improvement over the viewing of so-called linear, or real time, scheduled TV.

DVRs are also taking over because a number of important drivers are in place, both on the business (or enterprise) side and on the consumer side.
