Textile designers need to present their collections, once designed, in a context that enables others to understand them. This usually means depicting the designs on a garment or an interior. This takes the designs to another level by putting them into a realistic environment and giving the collection a sense of place. Lately the industry has seen the arrival of a wealth of exciting new fashion illustration techniques, due partly to advances in digital technology.
