CONTENT AND CONTENT MANAGEMENT

This chapter and Chapter 9 look at digital signage from a content provider's point of view. It is my belief that today's TV stations, newspapers, and advertising agencies—along with all others working with media—will merge to form the media source of the future. These companies, not all of which are fully in existence yet, will provide media content to retail and public environments as well as to the home.

The example in Chapter 4 uses a media player (computer with Windows operating system) with PowerPoint software to create a simple digital signage system.
