Virtual Cinematography

As a filmmaker, by deciding early on (ideally during pre-production) that you’re going to finish the production using a digital intermediate pipeline, you can gain an incredible advantage. Until recently, most digital intermediates typically were designed as a direct substitute for chemical laboratory processing and didn’t take full advantage of the available digital options. But as technology advances, and as filmmakers become more knowledgeable of the various possibilities, digital intermediate pipelines will move toward virtual cinematography.
