Secure Working Practices

Abstract

This chapter deals with the issue of security in the laboratory and the ways in which it is managed. The chapter addresses the policies and procedures that will be required for all aspects of the confidentiality, integrity, and availability aspects of security both within the laboratory and when operating at the scene of a crime or on a Client’s premises. It provides policies and procedures for the management of the physical security, personnel security, and electronic security of people, documents, equipment, and digital data.
