19. Building a Forensic Workstation

The civilizations of ancient times did not have huge factories churning out products at the rate of a few hundred thousand per day. If a particular tool was needed, the appropriate craftsman was called upon to make it. While it is true that there are several different commercially available models from which a forensic department can select its systems, it is also quite possible—and far more economical—for an organization with some moderately skilled hardware technicians to build the systems on their own.
