Turning e-Mail Drains into Productivity Gains: Which e-Mail Would You Rather Read?

BETTER COMMUNICATIONS

Many people have a hard time recognizing exactly what is wrong with a bad e-mail, much less how to fix it. To set standards and create a culture for good writing companywide, everyone needs to understand and agree on the attributes of a clear, action-driving document, whether an e-mail, report, or proposal. This exercise consists of editing followed by a side-by-side deconstruction of a poor document and an analysis of a good document. The objective is to learn to recognize at least five major mistakes and learn how to improve them.
