Publish a Word RTF Document
RTF files are to Microsoft Word what SYLK files are to Excel. They are a text-based exchange format. They are well-understood, and many applications can read and write them. Microsoft Office is moving towards an XML format for storing its documents. This is a positive step for interchange mechanisms, provided the XML is described openly.
RTF makes liberal use of the braces that we used as a delimiter for the SYLK solution. Make sure any tagging and markup that might be conveniently edited in Word doesn’t appear confusing or get broken by the RTF formatting.
Instead of using {tag} as a markup, here we will use [tag] ...
