Shortest Distance Between Two Towns
The shortest distance between two nodes in a network may not be a direct connecting line. This happened on the project that connected cinemas and restaurants.
If you know the geography of the UK, you’ll remember that in the west of England, the river Severn separates it from Wales. This is a very wide estuary and is quite a barrier to travel as far up as the Severn Bridge, and there are not many other crossings until you get to Bristol.
