image Converting TSV to XML

For this tutorial, assume that we have a tab-separated file with three columns of data: name, age, and country of residence. We will use a short file with those field names in the first record and three subsequent records with genuine data. The listing shows what our source data looks like. The tabs have been replaced with asterisks so that they are visible in print:
