Files using these formats require filtering because characters some 7-bit ASCII printable characters have been remapped.

Partially Incompatible ASCII Code Sets

These code sets should be compatible as far as the lower 128 are concerned, but higher characters may differ:

•  Extended ASCII.

•  UTF-8.

•  ISO 8859.

•  ISCII. ...
