Building Our Custom Control

We’ll go through the drill of starting a new project because building a custom control is a bit different than starting any other type of project. In fact, there is no direct way to create a custom control project from the New Project dialog box. You have to build another type of Windows project and add the Custom Control template. In fact, the IDE makes you go through some contortions to build a custom control.

The first step in building a new custom control project is to start with a Windows Control Library project with the name CustomBiorhythm as shown in Figure 8-4.

When the project is built, delete the default UserControl1.vb file ...
