PREFACE

CCL's interest in developing leadership talent in organizations dates at least to 1989, when it offered two programs: Designing Systems for Executive Development and Tools for Developing Successful Executives. Since then, CCL has published several books on the topic, the most relevant being How to Design an Effective System for Developing Managers and Executives in 1996.

Although not a direct line, those experiences and the knowledge gained are context within which CCL has created its current public program: Developing Leadership Talent: Strategies and Tools (DLT).
