8.3. GUIDELINES FOR DESIGNING AND CONDUCTING THE EVALUATION

The DLT evaluation-design guidelines suggested here will help you improve the quality of the data you collect and present:

  • Examine impact from multiple perspectives.

  • Assess the different kinds of change that can be observed.

  • Use multiple data-collection methods.

  • Look at change over time.

  • Assess individual and group-level change.

  • Use control groups for comparison.

  • Use time-series designs for comparison.
