1 End of Life is the polite term used when a product is no longer going to be developed.

2 Initially, there was going to be an alternative development tool code, named Partridge, that was more approachable for Java developers because it was built on the Eclipse platform. However, for one reason or another, Partridge never saw the light of day until Flex Builder 2 was announced and Adobe made its dramatic turn from server-side to client-side development of Flex applications. With the arrival of Flex 2, it heralded the demise of the original Dreamweaver-inspired Flex development environment, which, although serviceable, was clunky and more Dreamweaver than Flash Builder.
