Remaining Phases

Due to time and space constraints, we do not cover the details of the remaining two phases identified by the RUP, namely the construction phase and the transition phase.

Some of the key items produced during the construction phase include

  • A deployment plan

  • An updated design model and an updated implementation model

  • A test model

  • The software system being implemented along with user documents and so on

The transition phase wraps up the effort with the following tasks:

  • Delivery of the product to the end user

  • Release notes for the product

  • Any required training material

You are encouraged to continue with the case study by developing an interation plan for these phases and working through to the transition phase.
