Appendix E. WebSphere Service Registry and Repository Installation

WebSphere Service Registry and Repository (WSRR) v6.0.2 can be installed in three different modes: GUI, Console, or Silent. The installer simply copies the relevant files onto the file system. After that, you have to run the deployment script to create the databases and deploy the applications to the application server where WSRR will run.

Installing WSRR

For this installation, we assume that you have the IBM DB2 database and either WebSphere Application Server or WebSphere Process Server (WPS) already installed on your system.

  1. From the WSRR source CD, invoke setup.exe. On the Welcome screen, shown in Figure E.1, click Next.
