Appendix A. Context Design Checklist

The appendix is a checklist for context design and modeling with the purpose of helping you remember all the elements.

Description

There are two layers of description: the process layer and the task details layer.

The overall business objectives should be written in one or two sentences only. Important assumptions (e.g., cooperation from other bodies), constraints (e.g., money, time), opportunities, and risks should also be listed.

The process layer shows how the tasks hang together. I have identified four ways tasks might hang together:

• Business processes (e.g., Figure 5.1)

• Business services

• Resource management (e.g., Figure 5.7)

• Reviewing and monitoring
