SVG Viewers

Full SVG support hasn’t been built-in yet to the standard editions of any of the main Web browsers (Internet Explorer 5.x, Netscape 6, and Opera 5). Limited native SVG support is in the development versions of the Mozilla browser (get further information at http://www.mozilla.org/projects/svg/), but none is in the released version of Netscape 6.0. To view SVG using any of the major HTML browsers, you need to download an SVG viewer. A number of SVG viewers are available.

The available SVG viewer downloads are significantly larger in size than, for example, the Flash viewer download. That statement isn’t too surprising because SVG has more functionality than Flash does.
