Building and Formatting

Building and formatting your final project is the act of translating the project you create inside DVD Studio Pro to the media you create, whether it be a DVD-R for playback, or a DLT for mass replication, or even a muxed VIDEO_TS folder on the hard drive for further testing before you commit to a DVD-R or a DLT tape.

The first step is building your project. The build process is what actually translates the DVD Studio Pro project into a muxed set of VOBs, IFO, and BUP files you see on any common DVD.
