Implementing a Prototype

We recommend that you develop and implement a prototype of your design before implementing the full-scale design. Develop a prototype so that you can test and validate the solution to ensure that it achieves all the functionality required.

Frequently ISPs fail to implement and thoroughly test a prototype. The biggest issues are performance, scalability, and compatibility. Developing and testing a prototype provides the following benefits:

  • Validates that the design works and satisfies all requirements

  • Ensures that the solution achieves the desired level of performance

  • Establishes profiles for systems and network utilization

  • Develops a use-case to test for functionality and usability

  • Identifies design flaws

  • Allows you to fine-tune ...
