Chapter 6. Selecting Components
This chapter provides general guidelines for selecting software, server, and network components for an architecture design. As part of this chapter, we provide tables listing commonly used commercial and open source products appropriate for ISP infrastructures.

Product versions change and new products are released; therefore, the products listed in this chapter are not comprehensive. We list a sampling of products from various vendors to give you an idea of how to select products that meet your ISP’s requirements.
