User Access Services: Web Farms

Web servers provide the link between the presentation and business logic and the client user. The omnipresence of the browser makes application access available to anyone, anywhere, anytime, and on virtually any device. However, a web server represents a SPOF in the enterprise architecture unless measures are taken to ensure its continued availability. The following paragraphs describe how web farms can guarantee continuous availability and massive scalability for user connectivity.
