Chapter 10Publishing to App Stores

Developing an app is easy. Knowing where to publish your app is not quite so easy. The focus of this chapter is to explain how you can publish your apps to the leading stores and understand their review.

Apple’s iTunes App Store and Google Play are the two stores I will focus on in this chapter. Combined, these two stores service more than 1.5 billion devices. Today, Google is registering more than 1.5 million new devices every single day; it has already registered a staggering 1 billion devices. For its part, Apple has registered more than 600 million devices. You can put together all of the other device manufacturers on the market and the total will not even come close to Google and Apple.
