Introduction

The aim is of the applications part of this book is to identify key points/issues and “nuggets” of information that are of practical use to the designer. The technical information on the issues provided later in the book are referenced, enabling the reader to see the “wood for the trees” and select the “trees” they need to solve a particular issue. Each application uses a combination of block diagrams, state diagrams and code snippets to explain the key concepts in making the application work. Detailed analysis of specific aspects of the design are forward referenced as required.
