Simple 7-Segment (LCD) Displays

Abstract

Simple 7-Segment (LCD) Displays are in many respects require a simple form of decoder, where an input code of 4 bits is used to specify one of 16 different hexadecimal outputs to be displayed on an LCD module. The LCD module itself usually consists of 7 individual LEDs or lights (hence the alternative name ”7-segment display”) which are driven to deliver a particular character.
