Abstract: This paper discusses integrating natural language technology in mobile applications. It begins by discussing why natural language understanding is a valuable component of mobile applications. It then reviews some tasks that can be done with natural language understanding technology and gives an overview of some natural language systems that are currently available for integrating into applications.
