The Pugh concept selection process is conducted within the Invent/Innovate phase during technology development. It is applied to evaluate and select superior platform and subsystem concepts. Superior concepts are those that score the highest in feasibility in satisfying the voice of the customer and the corresponding technology requirements for the new technology platforms and subsystems.
