Preparing for Outdoor Wireless Installations

Successfully installing outdoor wireless equipment requires, more than anything, a consistent and efficient installation process. That process includes the following components.

Planning

Plan your installation process to be as consistent as possible from installation site to installation site. Installations should be as similar to each other as possible. Try to use the same:

  • Wireless equipment— Have one or two basic customer premises equipment (CPE) packages (such as one package for a single-PC end user and one package for a multiple-PC end user). The fewer end user packages, the lower your inventory and support costs.
