* Some of our generational “bookend” birth dates vary from standards typically used by demographers. For example, most define the Baby Boom as those born between 1946 and 1964. We opted to include those born from 1943–1946 as well because our research shows they share most of the values and views of those born a few years later. Ditto for Generation X, which we date starting from 1960 rather than the traditional 1965.
