Protect Against Viruses, Malware, and Adware

You know now that although Windows 7 comes with Windows Defender for protecting against malware and similar Internet threats and Windows Firewall for protecting against Internet intrusions, there’s nothing built in for protecting against viruses. You also know that the Action Center is the part of Windows 7 that offers those pop-ups telling you that your computer’s security is at risk if you don’t have antivirus software. It’s important to bite the bullet and get some antivirus software if you don’t have it—and no, not just to squelch that annoying prompt!
